La Terrazza is one of the newer townhouse developments in the Plaza del Amo
area and was built between 1991 and 1996 by Watt Industries.
The longer development period is traceable to the relatively
weak market conditions that prevailed during the earlier stages
of this development. The architectural styling is distinctly
Mediterranean/Italian. The complex is accessed by entering
Hickory Avenue from the north side of Sepulveda Boulevard
between Maple Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard. A stately electronic
entry gate and beautiful fountain greets your entry into the
world of La Terrazza. Lush park-like landscaping provides
greenbelt views from all homes. The large recreational area
offers a clubhouse, heated pool, and spa.
La Terrazza features three different three bedroom floor
plans ranging from slightly more than 1,800 to about 1,900
square feet and two outstanding four bedroom models that range
from 2,000 to just under 2,100 square feet. Because of modifications
made during its longer than normal development period, square
footages vary slightly from sizes originally planned. Some
of the upgraded features include three car garages in four
of five model plans, attractive long-lasting concrete tile
roofs, underground utilities, bright skylights, dramatic stairways,
ceramic tile kitchen counters and splashes, rounded drywall
detailing, and hand-troweled textured ceilings.
